2018 is already proving a hectic time for MED Equus. Our annual sponsorship of Jumping Amsterdam was shortly followed by a trip over to Bergen, Norway, to sponsor the Nordic Equine Veterinary Congress. We couldn't have perceived the reception our new product range would get...
Jumping Amsterdam 2018, hosted by Proveto, opened on a crisp but dry morning at the RAI in Amsterdam, MED Equus is a silver sponsor partner and supporter of the congress.
Each coffee break was filled with conversation and questions surrounding our new portable MEDView videoscope range, leading vets from across Europe were impressed by not only the image quality but also the portability of the kit. The scope weighs only 6kg including carry case and batteries etc, perfect for hand luggage was the lasting remark. The added benefit of text overlay to add horse names/identifiers to videos and pictures was a big plus point for vetting horses and sale work.
A leading airway veterinarian from Norway remarked, "This is a real leap forward in veterinary endoscopy".
We were back in the UK for only a few days before flying to Bergen, Norway. Invited by one of the speakers, Dr. Svein Bakke, to exhibit our "exciting" new scopes at the show. Due to the heavy number of trotters across Scandinavia the DV1 proved more popular than the DV2. The only difference between these scopes is the DV2 has a working channel but the DV1 does not. However for purely assessing a larynx the DV1 is a more economical option. Dr Bakke has been using his MEDView DV1 for 6 months, after ordering at BEVA 2017, and remarked at the remarkable ease of use and clarity of videos.
There was also praise for the new Equine Dental endoscope from MED Equus, the MEDView Dental. Vets were taken with the intuitive software and image quality together with the large field of view, unrivalled in the market.
It promises to be a busy few months delivering new MEDView scopes across the UK and Europe, if you would like a demo or for more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +441691 662527.
